Rise Up

Here’s another photo I used for my

final portfolio last semester. I’m going

to try and update this blog at least once

a week, I feel like I’ve been ignoring it.

Description:

I got pretty lucky when printing this,

I had it just how I wanted in only a few

tries! I remember taking this photo and thinking

that it was going to be great. It’s usually

the opposite, what you think is going to turn

out amazing is usually nothing special.

Lucky for me, I had everything set up perfectly.

 

One Night

I used to sit on the steps on the
side of my house a lot as a kid to
get away from all the noise.
Then it was for smoking as a teenager.
Now, I only do it when I need to think
and not keep myself busy. Or waiting
for cars to pas by.

Description:
I guess it’s one of the pros of
living in the country, the silence and
the clarity of the stars at night
is pretty beautiful. Not beautiful enough
to keep me here though.

Waiting to Fail

Description:
I actually passed that test, I didn’t do so well
on the first one, but it was a passing grade.
I actually made an A on that one from that day
and have been making high marks ever since,
getting chummy with the teacher. Feels good man.

Stone Pike

This is one of my favorite film photos, it looks
even better in print.

Description:
I can’t remember how much time I spent in
the dark room developing this, but it
was worth it. A lot of burning at the top, I wish
I was a photoshop/gimp master, but I’m not.
I still think this digital copy looks great though!

Buliding of a Building

I like it a lot more than the shot that
I originally wanted to take of that area.

Description:
Love the clouds in the sky and the construction
in the middle of already built buildings. They’re
still building this thing (of course), it sometimes
interrupts class, like today when something
dropped or whatever.
